Scary self portrait of myself in the bath. The camera was dangling recklessly above the water, but it survived.

A close up, long exposure of one of the big fountains in Trafalgar Square. Lit with ambient light only and and exposure of 30 seconds I think.
An abstract taken in the studio of a teabag brewing in a pint of boiling water. I was only able to get a sharp line down the centre as the pint glass and water were refracting the image.
I tried wakeboarding for the first time on Saturday. It was really good fun, and I managed to get up at least. I am severely paying for it this week with aching muscles though. It’s been a good 16 years since I’ve been dragged around by a boat. I think my boat-drag muscles had atrophied [...]
After fleeing to Wimbledon Common to escape the heat and drink an ale, I wandered along the common where dune bugs were attacking everyone with white t-shirts and blonde hair. I caught this glimpse of the sunset reflected around these water plants.
Bath time last night to try to get heat into my cold, cold bones. Pretty risky with the camera almost in the water, and there was a steam problem. But it looks pretty cool! Splash!
This was taken in the new Brixton Oval area, square thingy. The fountain comes straight out the pavement in a mist, with coloured lights. Which is why this is purple.
A view looking down into a Cenote in Mexico. The snorkelling in there was amazing. 100% visibility and Terrapins, Eels and Goldfish.
A sweet piece of driftwood on the beach at Sian Ka’an nature reserve. I want to go back now please.
Beautiful wooden groynes on Isla Mujeres. The water was so turquoise there… and warm too. I’m so glad it’s summer (almost) back home.
Today’s photo was taken in the studio again. This time dropping oil into a pint of water, sticking a straw in and blowing. It was lit with one pink gel covered flash head. It made a pretty cool series of images. This is my favorite. There’s been a lot of studio. I’ll get outside again [...]
Taken on a Canon 1D with a 50mm lens. Water droplets hanging from the roof in my building’s basement. Thanks to all those people who have started following on Twitter already. I’ll try to keep it interesting. Darren ps. I know that there have been 2 posts today. But the earlier one was posted yesterday [...]
