Walking back across the common, I thought I’d stop and photograph the snowy trees. This one was taken by putting the camera, back-down on a parking machine.

Homemade Christmas decoration hanging on an ultra bright tree.
I almost fell asleep whilst lying down, drunkenly photographing this tree on the Common last night after having some delicious American ales at the Draught House in Clapham.
Paper lanterns hanging in the garden of the Grand Union in Brixton. They’ve got a pretty good setup there. If only I’d known in the summer about this place.
Picking apples from the tree to bake a pie. The sun was setting and shining through the branches, picking out the shape of the apples.
Walking through Battersea Park yesterday evening, I walked past this tree that was being lit up from the east when the sun was setting in the west. Make sense? The sun was beaming across London and had positioned itself perfectly to reflect off a building a long way away and reflected that light back onto [...]
Lying in the grass reading and drinking a £3 can of coke on Sunday afternoon, decompressing before a week of work I took some time photographing the Common and made use of the really shallow Depth of Field on my 50mm to throw out the tree in the background against the sunset.
A new path through the forest at Nonsuch Park had been cleared when I was walking yesterday. I found huge clusters of tree stumps. They were all hollow, like they’d had their insides scooped out. Strange activity indeed. I noticed this one had a core like the arc of a wave. It just makes me [...]
A shot taken this afternoon at Nonsuch Park in Ewell just before it started raining. It’s another HDR, 7 images again.
This was taken in Battersea Park. All the blossom has pretty much fallen now, but this pink carpet of blossom was safe under the tree.
After going back to my old house to vote in the election. The sky was a deep purple colour, and it was really contrasting with the tungsten, fluorescent and other temperature lights in Spa Gardens. I wedged my camera in a crook of a tree for support and took this 4 second exposure with a [...]
I came across a family of Howler Monkeys. The adults were very sleepy, and just laid around on the branches. But this little guy was really energetic and curious. I exposed to get the lens flare here and used my flash to fill in the Monkey and tree.
I went to Wandsworth beer festival last night, hence the late upload. It was in Le Gothique, a building built in 1857. A really interesting place. It’s a shame I had so much ale that I wasn’t much up to any architecture photography. Still, the clouds we moving over the courtyard and the stars were [...]
I took this image of Clapham Common as I was walking to my new flat (in Clapham). I’m moving this coming week, so everything is a bit up in the air at the moment. Booking flights to Mexico today too!
My illness got worse. Been in bed all day. Getting worse. Ow! I managed to leave the house to gather food at 8pm and got this shot by dropping the camera at the foot of the tree and focusing the lens at 3m. It was an 8 second exposure I think.
