Hello, It’s me again…. Testing out my new camera in the studio. It’s such a difference from the 1D. This photo is straight out of Camera RAW.

A little rushed, but pretty funny. I should have taken it in a location, instead of on white. Also a bigger box would have helped. It was cramped in there.
Another Self Portrait, non surprisingly, I need to photograph some friends I think. Although, it’s all good practice. It’s interesting using only one flash too.
Some people might say that I’m doing too many self portraits. But that’s tough. I’m enjoying trying out different lighting styles and no one else is around. Today’s is taken with one light above the head with a reflector below and two lights on the red perspex background. Shot wide open with the tungsten modeling [...]
A self portrait shot in the studio with one flash masked off from background with a poly-board and a ceiling light on low coming from the left.
A studio shot of a piece of white coral. Shot with macro lens on red perspex and one flash light.
Another self portrait. Shot with a single flash on low to keep it dark and poly board to keep the background start. Looking a bit evil in this. I’m happy really; it’s Friday!
Sorry, another self portrait. It just happens that I’m the nearest person when I need a shot. This was hand held at f1.4 with a 50mm Lens. One tungsten light and a gray background.
An image of a seed shot using 2 tungsten lights. One softbox to the front left and a light illuminating the side of the background. I used superglue to get it standing upright. Not sure what trees these are from, but they have three big pea sized seeds inside the leaves.
High Key Studio Portrait of Eleanor. Shot with 2 softboxes up close, one high and one low. 2 Background spots bounced off masking boards. 120mm lens at f16.
Sorry for everyone who checks the blog regularly, having to see my gormless face two days in a row. But I’ve been having fun playing with some lighting styles the last couple of days, which has been interesting. This one was shot with two low flash heads on low power (1 slightly higher) bounced off [...]
The third self portrait this year (Or is it 4). When there’s no one around to shoot, you have to get in front of the camera and act silly. I used 3 flash heads. one with a blue gel, one with pink towards the camera at the rear to get the flare effect and one [...]
Balanced Rock in the studio. Shot with one main front light and one reflected off of a board in rear.
Apple shot in the studio with Tungsten. One spotlight from behind on full and one snoot to the front right on low power. I hollowed out the back of the apple to get it translucent and glowing. Friday has come at last!
A close up studio shot of a tower of cherries. Lit with one single soft-box on black perspex and sprayed with a mister for the water drops effect. The cherries were delicious by the way.
