Last Self Portrait of the year. Shot at home with a flash.
Hiding under the bedsheets with a camera, flash and remote.
An odd one. Just had an idea to shoot from underneath. This is what I got using ambient light. I look a bit like an Easter Island head…
Hello, It’s me again…. Testing out my new camera in the studio. It’s such a difference from the 1D. This photo is straight out of Camera RAW.
One month left for this photo project! This is a self portrait of me at home, sitting oddly. Lit with single flash gun off to the side.
A little rushed, but pretty funny. I should have taken it in a location, instead of on white. Also a bigger box would have helped. It was cramped in there.
Playing a bit of power-melodica. The worlds most special instrument. HOOOoOONNNNNKKKK!!!!
Another Self Portrait, non surprisingly, I need to photograph some friends I think. Although, it’s all good practice. It’s interesting using only one flash too.
Doctored self portrait. Just for fun.
For the fifth of November, you might imagine I’d post a fireworks photo. But no. I post a scary portrait of myself. The week of work took it’s toll and I shot some portraits and ran off to the pub.
I started out with something else in mind for today’s shot, but this is what I came up with. Achieved by firing two flash guns straight at the camera. Halloween Ale Festival tonight!
Some people might say that I’m doing too many self portraits. But that’s tough. I’m enjoying trying out different lighting styles and no one else is around. Today’s is taken with one light above the head with a reflector below and two lights on the red perspex background. Shot wide open with the tungsten modeling [...]
Another self portrait I’m afraid. I wanted to get a photo with the camera looking straight down. This is what I got. I had to reach up to the camera on the tripod to fire the shutter, so that arm is cropped off.
This was hard work! I’m pretty happy with it though. All shot in camera no Photoshop trickery!
Scary self portrait of myself in the bath. The camera was dangling recklessly above the water, but it survived.
