There’s an awful lot of Algae in Bourne Hall pond at the moment. However, it seems to be a home to a pretty happy family of Moorhens, who are skitting around the pond. The pattern in the algae reminds me of some aerial photography I’ve seen.
After fleeing to Wimbledon Common to escape the heat and drink an ale, I wandered along the common where dune bugs were attacking everyone with white t-shirts and blonde hair. I caught this glimpse of the sunset reflected around these water plants.

Took a walk around Bourne Hall pond this morning at 8am, it was nice and peaceful… No school kids around; got to love half term. I had lots of shots of this friendly swan in focus. But I liked the way it’s recognisable from just the blur.
Trains all back to normal this morning. But there was quite a bit more snow last night. Had a walk around the Pond in Ewell Village and found a massive pipe sticking out of the ground that bends to point horizontally across the pond. Not sure what it’s for. I imagine some sort of polluting. [...]
