I came across a family of Howler Monkeys. The adults were very sleepy, and just laid around on the branches. But this little guy was really energetic and curious. I exposed to get the lens flare here and used my flash to fill in the Monkey and tree.
The 4 o’clock storms rolled in most days in Mexico. They look so dramatic, and make your hairs stand up.
I noticed these guys running about in the undergrowth of a hotel. They are called Agouti. They look like a cross between a rat and a guinea pig only with horses legs.
These old fire hoses were scattered around the resort that I got put up in because of the nice Volcano in Iceland that trapped me in Mexico. The rest of the resort was suitably 70′s. In fact it looked like Dharmaville.
These guys are amazing. They are also called Mexican Racoons, about the size of a Beagle; They live in rubbish nests in the trees and are hungry for Bananas. I followed this one and tempted it with the fruit. There are some pretty cute photos of it coyly approaching too, but I like his bitey [...]
Here’s a shot of Emma looking awesome on her and Ben’s wedding day in Mexico. The rain let up after a cool thunderous ceremony and we all got great photos on the beach with these stormy skies and light blue sea. An awesome day! (ps. the floating light bits are confetti on each side of [...]
A relaxing scene. Mexico is a pretty nice place to enjoy a cold beer. This was taken at an awesome bar called Fusion in Playa del Carmen. They have an awesome, greedy dog called Libi there.
This is a shot of some steps in a hotel during the 4 day rainstorm! Flooded room!
A view looking down into a Cenote in Mexico. The snorkelling in there was amazing. 100% visibility and Terrapins, Eels and Goldfish.
These ruins at Tulum used to be a Mayan trading village. It has the most amazing ‘Robinson Crusoe’ beach below. The Maya have now been replaced by hundreds of Iguana.
These Pelicans are everywhere on the Yucatan. I found out that they go blind eventually because they dive at such high speeds to catch fish that it damaged their eyes. Poor Pellies.
This lizard was sat with a few others on a hot flat rock at the place I was staying. Just soaking up the rays!
This image was taken with the sun setting over the lagoon at Sian Ka’an Nature reserve. One of the nicest places i’ve ever been. Cabins on the beach, lagoon behind, Dogs, Good food. Amazing.
Beautiful wooden groynes on Isla Mujeres. The water was so turquoise there… and warm too. I’m so glad it’s summer (almost) back home.
