A white pumpkin turned up in my farm box this week. It’s counting down the days until it’s eaten at the Christmas spread on Saturday.

Finally managed to get a table at Abeno in St. Giles’. Apparently it’s Europe’s only Okonimiyaki specialist restaurant. A cross between and omelet, pancake and bubble and squeak; it’s prepared and cooked right on your table. When they are ready they were topped with Bonito flakes which dance hypnotically in the heat. So delicious!
Feeling pretty sorry for myself after the party, my camera didn’t make it past this most welcome of sights. A totally righteous roast dinner!
A Kale and Goat’s cheese pasta that I cooked this evening. Trying to fend off a cold with a giant bag of greens.
I made four pizzas from scratch last night! Best batch of dough yet! Egg on pizza is a nice touch.
Mega Salad with Fishcake, Egg, Salsa, Potatoes, Cheese… and some salad leaves somewhere.
I did a shoot for the Yeti Restaurant in Worcester Park this week. It’s a nice restaurant, and food looked great.
Celebrating the build up to the trip to Devon this weekend, eating again at Taro on Old Compton St. Bento Boxes, Sushi Frenzies and some tasty black Asahi.
I baked this apple pie last night from the apples I picked last weekend. I didn’t think about the fact that when I cut a slice of pie, the pie itself would become a bigger Pacman. Double Pacman!
To wholesome not to photograph. A Vegetable and Cider Casserole, featuring a ton of vegetables and a pint of 9% Scrumpy! Slurp!
Wednesday saw the grand cupcake production line. Managed by Catrin (Who baked the delicious cakes), We had to decorate almost 200 of these for Tim & Mari’s wedding the following day. Thinking about it… These were the rejects! The colour schemes were all wrong, destined for the cake graveyard. It was a tough regime, but [...]
A vegetarian Bolognese, made from nothing but fresh vegetables and red wine. I was proud of the food, so that’s why it features here. Although you can’t taste it, it’s important to know how delicious it was. (I don’t use fake meats like Quorn… Gross). This photo’s a bit like the Gun’s Album, the Spaghetti [...]
This is a delicious leaf, collected by Sam, grown for the Capital Growth Food Project in Hyde Park. I think some people are referring to it as Boris’ allotment, but i’m not sure how much work he actually puts in. Good project though, gotta get those unruly kids into growing food instead of shankin’ & [...]
This Rhubarb plant was growing out of the pavement in Clapham. I think someone has been planting edible plants on the street. Might pick some tomorrow for a crumble.
I try not to post too many food photographs. But this meal was particularly good. Pasta with white wine and plum tomato sauce with Salmon and Fresh King Prawns. It’s into my regulars. mmmmmm
